Dartmouth Crossing Apartments

This master-planned residential community in Dartmouth, Halifax’s largest suburb, is planned to deliver up to 4,200 residential units. The site is adjacent to Dartmouth Crossing, which offers 1.8 million square feet of retail, dining, office, and lifestyle amenities, including grocery, pharmacy, restaurants, fashion, home décor, hardware, and sporting goods, as well as nearby hotels. It is also close to educational and sports facilities, including a multi-pad hockey complex and soccer fields, and borders Burnside Industrial Park, Atlantic Canada’s largest business hub with over 30,000 workers. The area provides access to green spaces, parks, and a multi-use trail network, and is served by existing public transit, with planned service upgrades. Future phases will include both rental and condominium units, designed to meet market demand.

Current Phase

The first phase, Origin Living, now under construction, consists of two residential towers of 12 and 15 storeys, connected by a shared parking podium and amenity center. It will include 284 rental units, with layouts from one-bedroom suites to three-bedroom townhouses. Two-storey townhomes along the podium frontage will conceal parking and provide varied housing types. Planned amenities include a fitness studio, lounge, meeting room, and outdoor event space. Site design incorporates preservation of mature trees, connections to surrounding greenspaces, and integration with the future central esplanade.
