Dartmouth Crossing Expands Entertainment Offering with Future Casino

Dartmouth Crossing continues to strengthen its role as Atlantic Canada’s premier retail and entertainment destination. The Province of Nova Scotia has signed an agreement with Great Canadian Entertainment to relocate Casino Nova Scotia from downtown Halifax to Dartmouth Crossing.

The new, modern casino will be owned, operated, and maintained by Great Canadian Entertainment and will serve as a major entertainment anchor for the prodigious development. Its addition will further enhance Dartmouth Crossing’s dynamic mix of retail, dining, and entertainment offerings.

As the leading mixed-use destination in the region, Dartmouth Crossing comprises more than 1.8 million square feet of Canada’s best-in-class retailers, three hotels, and 142,000 square feet of boutique office space, alongside future residential phases totaling 2,500+ units (with the first 284 units currently under construction). The future casino will build on this momentum—reinforcing Dartmouth Crossing’s position as a vibrant regional hub that attracts visitors from across Canada.
